Halos mixed with vomit

I don't know why, but lately I feel like my Facebook homepage has been flooded with pious people. You know the kind, the type that posts new "revelations" and their latest religious findings every 5 minutes. Their cheesy words and flowery sentences distracting you for a while from their real intention. But by God, when their intention hits you, it hits you as hard as a kinky hooker's whip; I AM A BETTER PERSON THAN YOU ARE AND I AM SHOVING IT INTO YOUR FACE BY POSTING MY BETTERNESS FOR ALL TO SEE SO, SUCK IT B-TCH.

Or at least that's what I think.

You know why that comes to mind? Because I know that the people who post these kinds of things used to be as bad as I did, or even worse. But the real kicker is that you know nothing has changed about them. It's just that some of that badness in them had been accidentally exposed, so to cover up their shame, they do every single thing in their power to give this impression to the rest of the world - "I'm a nice boy, I would never commit such heinous acts, don't you see my shiny halo on top of my head, praise me". Makes me sick to my stomach.

I'm sorry but things like "Sebesar Manakah Allah S.W.T" and "Kompas Kehidupan" don't strike me as life-changing at the horrible age of 18. Especially when they are written by people who I know for a FACT, are not so very different from me in terms of the sins we committed.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not condemning the act of repenting. I can personally say that one of the most fulfilling things in life is finding solace in faith and religion, but hey. These kind of things are not made to be showed off.
