Yippee

It's 31st August 2009 but I don't feel patriotic, I don't feel like celebrating, and I think 1Malaysia is a concept that's getting ready to roll down the toilet bowl.

Eeeeee

Hayden Panettiere's Wake Up Call that she really cannot sing.

Bizarre/Bazaar

A Bazaar Ramadhan is a nice place to eavesdrop people. Not on purpose of course, but you know. Hear little snippets of conversation between the people you pass. Because every family is so different and uniquely weird, it's fun to listen to what they have to say to each other.

Like I was walking past this family and the dad was explaining something to his little boy, who looked around 6 or 7. And I think they were talking about football. The dad was saying

"Yang hok orang-orang main bola tengah-tengah malam nuh, terencat akal siket. Awok jgn pergi ikut perangai tu. Bila awok besar nanti, tak payah. Paham?"

I swear. Man, I pity the little boy. Is he going to have a fun teenage life or what?

And then there are the hawkers with their funny lines to attract customer attention. The stuff they like to yell out. Sometimes stuff with absolutely nothing to do with what they're selling. Like this pakcik satay, who while fanning the satay was commenting (or shouting) on the weather, which was pretty cloudy

"Haaaa, hari dah gelap! Hari dah gelap! Embun dah nak jatuh! Beli satay cepaaaaat! Nanti sejuk macam hari ni! Satay! Satay!"

-__________-

And some murtabak guy saw me looking at his murtabak

"Ye, cik adik! Jalan perlahan! Jalan sloooooooow mooooootion! Sloooooooow! Ohhp, stop! Ok, mari sini beli murtabak!"

Aku pun pergi la gerai sebelah beli nasi air.
Kesian dia. Tak jadi pulak strategi menarik perhatian.

Haha.

Waiting for my rocket to come

Ehhhhh, babi betol la sakit perut lepas buka.
Nak pergi launching, tapi food tak digest lagi.
Great, what do I do now?
Complain until my insides muster enough garbage to let me dump a few bombs?
No way, man.

I think I'll go watch that Everybody Loves Raymond rerun. While my stupid bowels get to work.

Happiness is a glass of fresh juice

I got a pleasant surprise when I woke up from my afternoon nap today.
Well, okay la. It wasn't that pleasant to wake up to my brother's tantrums. I got up, walked to the kitchen, psyched myself up to have a good scream at my brother for waking me up.
And there, at the counter top was a JUICER and my dad standing there, looking at the manual with this very excited look on his face.

So, I completely forgot about my anger and screaming mood, gave my brother a hug and went to look at the juicer manual with my dad. I could tell my dad was looking forward to using the juicer because he went and bought a whole watermelon. That's something that usually needs some pushing. Usually my dad will be griping about the outrageous price and would buy half a watermelon to cut costs. But oh baby, not today. You wanna know why? Because with half a watermelon, you're not gonna get a lot of juice okay.

After reading the manual, we got to work and cut the watermelon. Okay, not we. My dad did, I just buat-buat busy and "got the juicer ready". I'm useless in the kitchen, my whole family has accepted that. When he finished, the fun started. We started chucking in chunks of watermelon into the juicer. FUN WEYYY. Imagine throwing in a bit of watermelon, and watching red gunk splatter everywhere and then you see red liquid oozing out and collecting in a little jug. Wahh, syok gila.

But since we were fasting, we had to give the whole mini jug of watermelon juice to my brother, who wasn't fasting. Jealous gila man, watching him down a whole glass in three fucking huge gulps. And that was AFTER watching him chomp down a plate of spaghetti from my favorite restaurant. Complete with fries and chicken wings. My pahala had better be 10000000 kali ganda.

But anywho, buka came and my dad and I were at it again. Throwing in chunks of watermelon and watching the red gunk fly.

Ramadhan is always fun when my dad is at home :)

My trials and tribulations

I wish I wasn't this "strong" because I can already feel myself beginning to crack.

Hello, I'm Nadia the Groundbreaking Thinker

Groundbreaking Thinkers are charming, enthusiastic persons. They really bubble over with energy and like to take centre stage. They love variety both professionally and privately. Groundbreaking Thinkers tackle changes consistently with their optimism and firm belief in their own abilities; they are always on the look-out for improvement possibilities. Their excellent communication skills are of great advantage to them here. They approach the world with curiosity and openness and master new situations with a great deal of talent for improvising and with resourcefulness. Their spare time is taken up with a large number of hobbies; most Groundbreaking Thinkers like to travel in order to gather as many different impressions as possible. This personality type is unbeatable at discovering new possibilities.

In their work, Groundbreaking Thinkers highly rate challenges and diversified tasks. They cannot stand routine and too detailed work. They love to astound others with bold ideas for an original, new project and then leave it up to the others to implement them. Hierarchies, rules and regulations arouse their opposition and they love outsmarting the system. It is vital to them that they enjoy their work; if this is the case, they quickly become pure workaholics. Their creativity best takes effect when they work independently; but they are very good at motivating others and infecting them with their optimistic nature. Conceptual or advisory activities appeal especially to Groundbreaking Thinkers. It can happen that some people feel somewhat duped by their flexible, spontaneous nature.

Their sociability and enterprise ensure that Groundbreaking Thinkers always have a large circle of friends and acquaintances in which activity plays an important role. As they are mostly in a good mood, they are popular and very welcome guests. Grumbling and peevishness are unknown to them. However, they do tend to be a little erratic and unstable when it comes to obligations and this makes them appear to be unreliable to some. Groundbreaking Thinkers are very critical and demanding when it comes to picking a partner because they look for the ideal relationship and have a very concrete picture of this ideal relationship. Mutual aims in life are very important to them. They do not like compromising and would rather remain alone. For the partner, it is often a challenge to have a long-term relationship with a Groundbreaking Thinker. Groundbreaking Thinkers need a lot of space and diversity or otherwise they become bored and feel cramped. Types who are rather more traditionalistic often have problems with the willingness of Groundbreaking Thinkers to take risks and their often crazy, spontaneous actions. However, if one can summon up sufficient flexibility and tolerance for them, one will never be bored in their presence and will always have a loyal and faithful partner.

Accurate gila kot. You may now address me as "Nadia the Groundbreaking Thinker". Or "Think" for short. Haha :)
